How to Make Delicious Veg Momos at Home Without a Steamer
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water (or as needed)
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- Filling of your choice (chopped vegetables, tofu, or paneer)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and vegetable oil. Gradually add water, mixing and kneading until the dough becomes smooth and elastic. Cover and set aside for at least 30 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, prepare the filling of your choice by sautéing the vegetables with salt and pepper. You can also use crumbled tofu or paneer.
3.Divide the dough into small balls and roll out each one into a thin circle.
4.Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of the circle and bring the edges together to form a dumpling. Pinch the edges to seal the momo.
5. To cook the momos without a steamer, you can use a pan with a tight-fitting lid. Heat the pan over medium-high heat and add a small amount of oil. Once the oil is hot, place the momos in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side.
6. Reduce the heat to medium and add 1/4 cup of water to the pan. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the momos are cooked through.
7.Remove the momos from the pan and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Note: You can also deep fry the momos for a crispy texture.
Enjoy your homemade delicious Veg Momos!đ
